ever since i snuck into adult bookstores at age 17, i was drawn to the dark eroticism of predicament bondage. the damsel in distress style never aroused me. i had to see women in real predicaments and real distress. i had to see in her eyes that she knew why she was bound, and she knew that if she didn't escape what was going to happen. bondage, to me, is not only about the ways a woman can be bound, but what happens when she is bound, and what will happen. not an easy thing to find in film and video in conservative climate of the 1980s.

my producer of choice was the old house of milan (HOM) 8mm and video series and magazines. it was dark, erotic, and the girls knew they were bound for the sexual gratification of their captors. tight crotchropes, whipping, corporal punishment, nipple torment, creative positions, the use of vibrators, and the scenes were believable. the girls looked like they were in trouble, because most of the time, in those positions, they were. and any scene that faded out with the girl tied with this huge back massager secured between their legs set me off.

when hom sold out to calstar in the 80's (and the hard edge style was replaced by damsel in distress videos). i was left with a void that needed filled. european videos were too violent for me. damsel in distress did not look real. there were a few producers that did real play that i enjoyed, but most, mostly for legal reasons i assume, could not show real emotions in bondage.

through the 90's i studied video production, i spent 2 years in Los Angeles, and did everything possible to learn and enter the bdsm lifestyle. it was always my dream to make the videos i was renting on almost a daily basis, and to find a way to recapture the look and feel if those old hom videos. while living in pittsburgh, on may 31, 1997, i shot my first video with a local life styler, elena. we played for almost 8 hours. i was hooked.

in the mid 90's i acquired my first computer studied the internet, spending days downloading pictures from bondage picture scanners. through online chatting i met people that became the first internet bondage producers. i also met my first online playmate, lioness. during our relationship, lioness wanted to see what bondage modeling was all about. i escorted her to shoots in the ny/ nj area, meeting producers that were making content for their fast growing bondage web sites. around that time, i acquired the domain name 'thebondagechannel'. since i was into video more than looking at pictures, i had the vision of a video intensive web site. in the late 90's, bandwidth and video compression technology was in its infancy and only the most wealthy could afford that type of web site. i held off on the site, edited my first video using 2 vhs tape decks, and sold it on my own free home page from my isp.

through the late 90's i continued playing with lioness, working on my bondage skills, experimenting. recording everything, even shooting a video or two with her. when a better job moved me to cleveland in 1998, i was chomping at the bit to start my site. i was seeing my producer friends tying up some of the hottest girls and i needed to do that myself. in 2000, i made enough cash from my day job to place an ad in the local free paper's adult section. the response was far better than i ever expected. that ad gave me 5 models that loved being tied up. by the end of 2000, i had enough content and thru the help of good friend, producer dan hawke (www.danhawke.com), hired his webmaster, acquired my first server and opened tbc on dec 30, 1999.

tbc has gone through many changes since its inception. most changes were made as i learned web mastering and could afford the technology. i used the best video and computer technology that i could afford. i did updates when i could and produced and sold dvds. one thing i always did was find models that truly got off on being tied up. i stayed away from many of the 'pros', though in my early videos i used my share of adult stars due to necessity. i quickly learned that my shoots were more intense, and the video much better, when the woman i was playing with truly was there for being tied up first, and the paycheck second. that’s why i am here and to this day i expect that attitude from my models.

the early years of tbc made many friends that are names in the industry. robert deane (www.bondagedamsels.com) and i talked about tying up girls back in pittsburgh before there were dot coms. he introduced me to gina rae michaels (www.bondagedesigns.com), who became, along with robert, of my first co-producers of content. i shot a lot of content for gina in 2001, and my vision of tbc started to move towards a multi-producer video intensive site. i recruited producers both established and new. master e produced one video for tbc, robert and i shot a video with new , now superstar bondage model, christina carter (www.christinabound.com). i was contacted by sgt major derek victur (www.backdoorbondage.com) and became close friends. in 2002 sgt major videos were the majority of tbc’s updates. i traveled the country with him, shooting content for him and for tbc video release. i introduced him to master rigger lew rubens (www.boundanddetermined.com) who taught him. his work caught the eye of hogtied.com, where he became regular guest rigger and star of many of the kink.com sites. i am proud of my 'brother' and his success in the bondage world. his work is the only other producer other than myself that remains on tbc.

at this point i should mention KC. she was my first full time bdsm girlfriend. she starred in videos even though she would have preferred to be behind the scenes. she loved the rope and bdsm with a passion like mine, perhaps even more than me. she helped me develop many business and personal relationships that i still have. even the end of our relationship was a learning experience for me, and her advice even at the end helped push tbc and myself to where it is now. she had to deal with me thru the stress of site's growing pains, a full redesign of the site, moving from mostly a pay-per-view streaming site to a subscription site, losing both our day jobs, and dealing with many models and producers. the perfect woman - totally the wrong time. if i had to do it over again, i would have kept her behind the scenes and trained her to be the girl friday that ive needed in the years since. thanks pet, i love you for everything you did for me.

as our relationship ended in 2004, i also realized (with kc's help) that i was not doing enough rigging and i was losing the focus on why i started tbc in the first place. i ended my business relationships with other producers and focused on making tbc all about the fantasies and perversions and bondage of david mack. i dubbed tbc 'the (bound) orgasms network' and worked on more creative positions, more intense bondage, more hard core play, and not only doing (bound) orgasms, but taking women past their orgasm limits, turning orgasm itself into torture.

up to this point i did everything for the site. i rigged, played, shot video, took photos. i set up 2 and sometimes 3 video cameras to capture my play as best as possible. to this day i do mostly 2 and 3 camera studio shoots.

2005 brought development to tbc, the addition of model sherdian nicoll (stephanie) as my photographer started the increase in the quality of product that my subscribers have become accustomed to. i rarely shoot without a photographer. i also met paige turner and the badman (www.naughtyties.com). the started becoming a shooting team for me as primary photographer and videographer. with stephaine, i had a tight, professional and fun crew. the quality of the site really took off.

in 2006, i moved to tampa, florida. the opportunity to work with many quality models and producers was a primary factor in bringing tbc to tampa. many women that love the lifestyle either live or travel here. um, the weather doesn't hurt either. the badman and paige turner and even stephanie moved to tampa with me. my first dvd distribution deal with bon vue enterprises opened my product to a mass retail audience. i also started working with video on demand sites and clip sites. paige turner became my video editor and girl friday, allowing me to open tbc content to even more outlets.

2007 saw unprecedented growth of tbc. i saw and shot some of the most intense on screen play with some of the hottest models in bdsm. new bondage superstar sabrina fox made her east coast bondage debut on tbc. it was a year personally and professionally that will be hard to match. tbc video reached a major milestone as ‘tied n cumming 7’ starring christina carter received an avn nomination. it is a thrill to go into bookstores that i frequented in my earlier days and see my own videos on the shelves, along with all the beautiful bondage stars that i have had the chance to play with. personally, it was an incredible year as i was fortunate to spend alot of personal quality time with some of the most beautiful women i have even been with. the end of the year was marked by the untimely death of one of my brothers, an event that prompted me to move into new studios in a bay front condo south of tampa, in bradenton, FL.

in 2008 i opened my first satellite site, www.fiterotic.com , a site dedicated to the sexuality of the athletic female form. athletic women is my other fetish if you haven't noticed from the types of models on tbc. tbc's next satellite site will be www.fitnessmodelsbound.com. all athletic women tied and gagged in all styles from glam to hard core. as i gain more local fitness models thru fiterotic, i hope to open fitnessmodelsbound as tbc's third website in the future. 2008 was an up and down year, great friends came and went. i started producing dvds for naughtyties.com. paige and the badman had been building naughtyties for years, but thru their clip store, became successful producers on their own. while they are still my best friends in the business, their role with tbc as photographer and videographer has lessened. you can definitely tell when they are working with me, as i hire them back for special shoots. at the end of 2008, i also started producing dvds for fitness and bondage superstar, wenona. i am hoping wenona will eventually become a producer on her own when her incredible modeling career comes to and end. that will be a long long time off as she is still one of the most shot models in all bdsm.

in 2009, tbc opened it's own video on demand site, www.thebondagechannel.tv for fans that do not wish to purchase a monthly subscription. there is also a free bondage site www.thebondagchannel.net for fans to watch sample clips and pictures not seen on the main site. thebondagechannel.net also hosts tbc's affiliate program, allowing other webmasters to make money for sending traffic to tbc. tbc content is also found on sites such as hotmovies.com and clips4sale.com. its hard to google any term related to my play on tbc without seeing some of my content.

the sucess of theticklechannel.com will most likely make it the first true spin off site, which will make thebondagechannel more of a predicament bondage, orgasm torture site. look for this split by the end of 2010, after i make a major server upgrade to allow for the extra streaming bandwidth and server capacity. i hope that by 2011, tbc will be to a new faster server with less issues and even better quality streaming video.

in 2010, thebondagechannel took a bold leap by removing all recurring billing options, offering a low price 3 day non recurring subscription, along with a monthy and 90 day billing non recurring billing. many sites are afraid to go this route, relying on customers that 'forget' to cancel their subscription. i do not believe in ripping off my subscribers. i provide new content consistantly and i believe that my subscribers will enjoy coming back and subscribing again if they like new content that they see. i also know how much a pain it is to cancel a subscription. i hate doing it. i hate it even more when i get a credit card charge i was not expecting. so i have no plans on ever having a recurring subscription again.
